- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (42g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (63g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Don’t overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
