Golden and crispy on the outside with a soft, fluffy center, these Heart-Shaped Waffles are the perfect balance of sweetness and comfort. Each bite melts in your mouth, especially when topped with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a drizzle of warm maple syrup.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray or melted butter (for greasing the waffle iron)

Optional Toppings:

  • Fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • Whipped cream
  • Maple syrup or honey
  • Chocolate chips or drizzle
  • Powdered sugar dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Waffle Iron: Plug in your heart-shaped waffle iron and let it heat up according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Lightly grease it with cooking spray or melted butter.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  5. Cook the Waffles: Pour the batter into the preheated heart-shaped waffle iron. Cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions or until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Add Toppings & Serve: Transfer the waffles to a plate and add your favorite toppings. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispy waffles, add an extra tablespoon of melted butter to the batter.
