Ingredients
For the Peanut Butter Layer:
•1 cup creamy peanut butter
•1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
•2 cups powdered sugar
•1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
•1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Layer:
•1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
•1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer
- In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter and melted butter. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
- Add the powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture. Mix until fully incorporated. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.
- Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, using a spatula or your hands to smooth it down. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Chocolate Layer
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Microwave the mixture in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover the surface completely.
Step 3: Chill and Set
- Refrigerate the bars for at least 1-2 hours or until the chocolate is firm and set.
- Once chilled, cut the bars into squares and enjoy!
Optional: For extra flair, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate before chilling for a salty-sweet finish.
