  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 12-16 bars

Ingredients

For the Peanut Butter Layer:
•1 cup creamy peanut butter
•1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
•2 cups powdered sugar
•1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
•1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Layer:
•1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
•1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer
  1. In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter and melted butter. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture. Mix until fully incorporated. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.
  3. Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, using a spatula or your hands to smooth it down. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Chocolate Layer
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. Microwave the mixture in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover the surface completely.
Step 3: Chill and Set
  1. Refrigerate the bars for at least 1-2 hours or until the chocolate is firm and set.
  2. Once chilled, cut the bars into squares and enjoy!
Optional: For extra flair, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate before chilling for a salty-sweet finish.
