These Classic Apple Blondies with Pecans are soft, chewy, and full of cozy fall flavor. Sweet-tart apple chunks and crunchy pecans are folded into a buttery brown sugar base, then baked to golden perfection. Each bite delivers warm cinnamon spice and irresistible blondie richness—perfect for dessert or an afternoon snack.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: One 9x13-inch pan (about 24 blondies) 1x

Ingredients

•1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
•1 cup packed light brown sugar
•1/2 cup granulated sugar
•2 large eggs
•2 teaspoons vanilla extract
•2 cups all-purpose flour
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•1/2 teaspoon baking powder
•1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
•2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced into 1/2-inch pieces
•1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
  4. Fold in diced apples and walnuts (if using). The batter will be thick.
  5. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 28-32 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool completely in pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the batter or the blondies will be tough
  • Cut apples into uniform pieces so they cook evenl
  • Store covered at room temperature for up to 4 days
These have a perfect chewy texture with bursts of sweet-tart apple in every bite. The brown sugar gives them that signature blondie flavor that’s distinct from brownies.
